At about 4:30 p.m., May 11, troopers responding to a report of an intoxicated man stumbling in the roadway found Ronelle L. Jones, who matched the description, state police spokesman Master Cpl. Michael Austin said.

Jones was taken into custody. In a search, state police found Jones in possession of .48 grams of crack cocaine, Cpl. Austin said.

Jones entered the residence, uninvited, and was confronted by one of the male subjects. Jones punched the male and when the male retaliated Jones produced a box-cutter knife and swung it at the two males before fleeing, Cpl. Austin said.

Jones was transported to Troop 5 and charged with: Possession of a Deadly Weapon during the Commission of a Felony; Aggravated Menacing (two counts); Assault 3rd Degree; Criminal Trespass 1st Degree; and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Jones was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $74,500 secured bail.
