Gunman robs McDonalds restaurant in Dover

DOVER — An armed robber held up the McDonalds restaurant at 1704 E. Lebanon Road early Monday night, Delaware State Police said.

Authorities said the crime occurred at 5:07 p.m. when a black man entered the business and approached the cash register.

The man displayed a handgun and demanded money from an employee. The employee turned over cash and the suspect fled, police said.

The employee wasn’t injured, spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot-11 to 6-0 tall black male with brown eyes and black hair, wearing a light colored sweater, jeans, and displaying a handgun.

No surveillance photos are available at this time.
