Indecent exposure alleged against Camden man

CAMDEN — A 66-year-old Camden man was charged with second-degree indecent exposure after allegedly walking in his yard with private body parts exposed, Camden Police said.

The alleged incident took place Saturday at approximately 5:21 p.m. in the first block of South Main Street, authorities said. A neighbor reported that she saw Donald W. Smith walking in his yard and up the steps to his deck without any pants or underwear, police said.

When a police officer arrived, authorities said, the female resident took the officer to the location in her backyard where she allegedly observed Mr. Smith. When the female resident and police officer arrived at that location, Mr. Smith was standing on his deck completely naked and in plain view from surrounding yards, police said.

The man allegedly attempted to hide inside his residence but was apprehended without incident, police said. He was released on $1,000 unsecured bond.
