Juvenile injured in Sunday robbery

DOVER – A 16-year-old male suffered minor cuts to his face, chest and arms from a knife during a downtown robbery, Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

The youth left the Royal Farms convenience story and was walking to a family member’s home in the 800 block of West North Street at approximately 9:24 p.m. when approached by three juvenila black males. The victim was punched and kicked and a knife caused wounds. The youth was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for his injuries.

The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash they removed from the victim.
Police asked anyone with information to call 736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delawarecrimestoppers.com; a cash reward of up to $1,000 is possible for information leading to an arrest.
