Lincoln man arrested after Monday altercation

MILFORD — A 49-year-old Lincoln man was arrested Monday after Milford Police officers went to McColley Street for a report of a wanted person in the area, according to Sgt. Robert Masten.

As officers were en route, police said, Milford Police received another call that the same person was supposedly involved in a physical altercation with two females.

Prior to arrival of officers, all three persons fled. Police said Eddie D. Roundtree, 49, of Lincoln, was seen in the area and ran from officers. After a brief foot pursuit, Mr. Roundtree was taken into custody without incident in the 100 block of Marshall Street, authorities said.

Mr. Roundtree was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was also wanted by Kent County Superior Court, Sussex County Superior Court and Delaware State Police Troop 7. He was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court 2, where bail was set at $1,250 secured. Mr. Roundtree was later turned over the Delaware State Police.

The investigation in ongoing as investigators attempt to confirm the identity of the two females involved in the case, police said.
