Magnolia man fails to return to prison from work pass

Tyrell Redwind

DOVER — A 32-year-old Magnolia man failed to return to Morris Community Correctional Center from an approved work pass Wednesday, the Delaware Department of Correction said.

Tyrell Redwine’s whereabouts were unknown and unauthorized at this time. The DOC said a warrant for escape after conviction was issued.

Redwine was described as a 5-foot-6, 165-pound black male with brown eyes and black hair, a scar on his left forearm and tattoos on his right and left arm, upper right arm and left forearm. His original offense was identity theft, the DOC said.

The DOC asked anyone with information on Redwine’s whereabouts to call (800) 542-9524 or their local police department.

Community Corrections Centers are Level 4 facilities where the Department of Correction manages offenders who are transitioning back into the community. These centers are not secured like Level 5 prisons, as offenders are permitted to the leave the facility to go to work, seek jobs, or attend approved treatment sessions.
