Man shot during armed robbery in Dover

DOVER — The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery and shooting that left a man wounded in his leg on Saturday morning.

The victim initially stated he did not have anything and the suspect fired a shot, striking the victim in the upper leg. The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim’s shoes before fleeing the area, police said.

The victim was transported to Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was only described as a black make with all black clothing.
