Man sought after Seaford home burglary

SEAFORD — A 33-year-old Seaford man was sought in connection with a residential burglary on May 30, Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. whentroopers were dispatched to a residence in the 26000 block of Lonesome Road, police said, Upon arrival, it was determined that the residence had been burglarized and forced entry was made through the front door. Multiple items were reported missing including cash and electronics, police said.

Through investigation, Matthew J. Davis was identified as a person of interest. Police alleged that he pawned some stolen items at a local pawn shop.

Pending charges include second-degree burglary, theft, theft by false pretense, falsifying business records and criminal mischief.
Police said Mr. Davis frequents the Mobile Gardens area in Seaford.
