Mr. Valdesere was taken into custody without incident at approximately 3:20 p.m. by the U.S. Marshal Service and troopers, probation and parole officers assigned to the Kent County Governor’s Task Force, Cpl. Fournier said.

While Mr. Valdesere was not home when authorities arrived at the premises, police said he soon returned.

Authorities reported Mr. Valdesere was sought in Delaware by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a violation of probation capias; in Caroline County, Maryland, authorities said he was sought on a warrant for alleged traffic and firearm related offenses.

A probation administrative search of the house and a vehicle followed the apprehension, police said, with 829 bags of heroin weighing 12.435 grams, 7.8 grams of marijuana, two doses of LSD, more than 300 rounds of ammunition to various calibers of guns, a crossbow with two razor tipped arrows, drug paraphernalia and more than $1,700 in suspected drug proceeds allegedly located, according to Cpl. Fournier.

Mr. Valdesere’s 18-month-old daughter, who resides at the home, was turned over to a relative, police said.

After transportation to Troop 3 in Camden, Mr. Valdesere was charged with possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity (heroin), possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (heroin), four counts of possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of marijuana with an aggravating factor, possession of a controlled substance (LSD), possession of drug paraphernalia, and out of state fugitive.

After arraignment at Justice of the Peace Court 7 in Dover, Mr. Valdesere was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown on $109,100 secured bond.
