Milford man charged after vehicle pursuit

MILFORD — A 37-year-old Milford man was charged with disregarding a police officer signal after a Monday vehicle pursuit that began on Northwest Front Street the day before.

Police said that Gregory Painter was allegedly driving a Ford F150 that failed to stop for a patrol officer at approximately 10:50 p.m. Sunday. An arrest warrant was obtained, and Mr. Painter was seen in the area of Milford-Harrington Highway and Bloomfield Road at approximately 5:18 a.m. He was taken into custody without incident with the assistance of the Delaware State Police.

Other charges included failure to stop at a red light, unreasonable speed, passing in a no passing zone, and failure to signal. Mr Painter was presented at Justice of the Peace Court 7 in Dover, where unsecured bail was set at $2,700.
