Millsboro man charged with 7th DUI offense

MILLSBORO – A disorderly incident Friday night led to the arrest of a Millsboro man who subsequently was found by Delaware State Police to be under the influence for the seventh time.

Troopers charged Levi D. Stilwell with a 7th Offense DUI (Felony) as well as Failing to Comply with Taking Photos and Fingerprints, state police spokesman Sgt. Richard Bratz said.

At About 9 p.m. Feb. 13. a trooper driving by the McDonald’s restaurant on John J. Williams Highway was flagged down and told a disorderly customer was yelling and screaming from his vehicle at the location.

Upon contact, the driver appeared to be intoxicated and showed multiple signs of impairment, Sgt. Bratz said. A DUI investigation was initiated, and a computer inquiry revealed Stilwell had six previous DUI convictions.

Stilwell was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on an $8,000 cash bond, Sgt. Bratz said.
