Millsboro man sought for domestic-related assault

MILLSBORO — The Delaware State Police are attempting to locate a 30-year-old Millsboro man, who is wanted in connection with a domestic related assault that occurred Saturday night.

Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Michael Austin said that at approximately 9:51 p.m., troopers responded to the 29000 block of Iron Branch Road., Millsboro, in reference to a domestic-related stabbing incident.

Cpl. Austin said the investigation determined that Exequiel Osorto-Garcia was involved in a verbal altercation with his wife, during which he produced a box-cutter knife and stabbed her in the abdomen. Mr. Osorto-Garcia allegdly fled the scene prior to the troopers arrival and had not been located as of Sunday evening.

Cpl. Austin said he entire incident took place in the presence of their two children who were not injured. The female was treated and released from an area hospital with a minor laceration.

Mr. Osorto-Garcia has active warrants on file for the following charges: second-degree assault, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Mr. Osorto-Garcia is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet, 3 inches to 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 to 150 pounds. No photo was available Sunday evening.
