Multiple charges filed after driving arrest

MILFORD — A 50-year-old Lincoln man was arrested on multiple charges after investigation into suspected impaired driving Sunday, Milford Police said.

Authorities said Ronald W. Morgan was stopped while driving a tractor trailer with no headlights activated at approximately 1:38 a.m. Field sobriety tests followed and he was taken into custody, spokesman Sgt. Robert Masten said.

Police said Mr. Morgan was found to be wanted by Kent County Court of Common Pleas. A subsequent search, that included a K9 alert, led to United States currency, drug paraphernalia, heroin, and crack cocaine, police said.

Charges included possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, operate a commercial motor vehicle with a BAC of .04 or above or while impaired by drugs, failure to have insurance identification in possession, fictitious or canceled registration, and failure to have lights on when required. Mr. Morgan was presented at Justice of the Peace Court 3, where cash bail was set at $1,203.
