New bail set in  Georgetown rape case

GEORGETOWN — Delaware State Police said an emergency bond hearing on Thursday set a new bail amount for 22-year-old Clay Conaway, charged with first-degree rape and six counts of second-degree rape.

With six additional rape counts, Mr. Conaway received an additional $240,000 secured bond on top of the original $70,000 secured bond and was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown and ordered to have no contact with the alleged victims or their families, authorities said.
