North Carolina man sought after alleged burglary

DOVER — A 46-year-old North Carolina man was sought after an alleged burglary at the Dover Skating Center on May 16, the Delaware State Police said.

James Holway is wanted by Troop 3 on active warrants for third-degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, and criminal mischief counts.

Police said the alleged incident occurred at approximately 4:10 a.m. when troopers responded to a burglary alarm at the business at 2201 S. Dupont Highway. Further investigation revealed that a suspect had gained access to the building through the roof, police said. Once inside, the suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register prior to fleeing the scene.

Police said investigation developed Mr. Holway as a person of interest. Authorities asked anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Troop 3, Detective Campbell at 698-8504.
