Officials: Selbyville fire appeared to be set

SELBYVILLE — A Monday morning house fire that caused $75,000 appeared to be set, the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office said.

Investigation into the blaze at approximately 7:17 a.m. in the 27000 block of Shipwreck Drive continued Tuesday, authorities said.

Roxana Volunteer Fire Company assisted by Selbyville and Frankford volunteer fire companies responded to the scene to find fire showing from the attached garage of the single-family dwelling, authorities said.

The fire was placed under control at approximately 8:30 a.m.

One occupant was transported to Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Maryland for evaluation.

No injuries were reported.
