Police identify fatal motorcycle crash victim

LINCOLN — On Monday, Delaware State Police identified Carlos R. Marin-Landa, 28, of Millsboro, as the operator of a Kawasaki 1000cc motorcycle, who was killed in a crash that occurred at approximately 11:23 p.m., Saturday, on Cedar Creek Road in the area of Heritage Road.

According to police Mr. Marin-Landa was traveling southbound when he failed to negotiate a left curve in the road. As a result the Kawasaki traveled off the west edge of the road, with its left side striking a mailbox, causing it to overturn on to its left side. The driver was ejected from the motorcycle, coming to rest in a grassy area off the west side of the road, police said.
