Police investigate Dover convenience store robbery

DOVER — A Dover convenience store was robbed by a suspect with a knife late Saturday night.

Delaware State Police said at approximately 11:44 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the Shore Stop located at 2636 S. State Street, Dover for a report of a robbery.

Upon arrival, troopers met with the store clerk who advised that an unknown suspect had entered the business armed with a knife and demanded money. The store clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash prior to the suspect fleeing the scene. The store clerk was not injured as a result of this incident, police said.
