Police: Stolen vehicle recovered, arrest made

MILFORD – A 28-year-old Georgetown man was arrested Wednesday on a motor vehicle theft charge following investigation into an earlier incident involving a city-owned vehicle taken from the Milford Parks and Recreation building, Milford Police spokesman Sgt. Robert Masten said.

According to authorities, Maurice Harrison was charged after latent prints were collected from the vehicle by the Milford Police Department’s Evidence Technician and analyzed by the State Bureau of Identification. He was seen by an officer walking in the area of Northwest Third Street at approximately 4:45 a.m. and taken into custody without incident.

Police said the 2006 Chevrolet Colorado was locataed in Community Lane in Selbyville.

Mr. Harrison was presented at Justice of the Peace Court 3, where secured bail was set at $500 secured. He was then held at Sussex Correctional Institution.

Mr. Harrison was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution.
