Resident struck in Magnolia shooting

MAGNOLIA — A 38-year-old man was injured in a residential shooting Sunday at approximately 10:46 p.m., Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.

The victim was struck after a bullet entered the residence in the 500 block of Millchop Lane, penetrated the kitchen and cabinet. Arriving troopers located the injured man, police said.

Several bullet holes were also seen on the east side of the residence, authorities said.

Police were told that an unknown dark colored vehicle was seen fleeing the area with three black men.

The victim was transported by EMS to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. During this incident there were seven other family members inside the residence, all of whom did not sustain injuries, police said.
