Restaurant incidents brings two arrests

SEAFORD — Two Maryland residents were arrested on theft and conspiracy charges Tuesday following an incident at Grotto’s Pizza on Sussex Highway, Seaford Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Eric Chambers said.

Schuyler A. Sutton, 28, and Summer B. Bueso-Shinn, 27, allegedly left the restaurant without paying their bill, police said. Officers were called to the scene and took Ms. Bueso-Shinn into custody without incident, but authorities said Mr. Sutton fled the scene. Mr. Sutton reportedly touched a waitress inappropriately while leaving the resident, police said.

Mr. Sutton was found at the Days Inn on Sussex Highway when a man was reportedly seen walking down the hallways with a hunting style bow and arrow, police said. He would not leave his room after contact with police, but exited after several hours of negotiations and was taken into custody without further incident.

Mr. Sutton was charged with theft under $1,500, second-degree conspiracy, third-degree unlawful sexual contact, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and out of state fugutive. He was then committed to the Delaware Department of Correction pending extradition to Maryland on a first-degree burglary warrant.

Ms. Bueso-Shinn was charged with theft under $1,500 and second-degree conspiracy. She was released on unsecured bail.
