Seaford brothers charged in residential burglary

SEAFORD – Delaware State Police arrested two brothers from Seaford in connection with a residential burglary that occurred March 20.

The two suspects, Josh E. Holt, 32, and John K. Holt, 34, were both charged with Burglary Second Degree Dwelling, Conspiracy Second Degree, Theft Under $1,500 and Criminal Mischief, according to state police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe.

Troopers on March 20 were dispatched to a residence in the 24000 block of German Road for a report of a burglary. The female victim informed troopers that her residence had been burglarized while she was at work.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect or suspects damaged a window to enter the residence. Several items, including two televisions, an electronic tablet and two remote control helicopters were taken in the burglary, Cpl. Jaffe said

Through investigative measures, troopers identified Josh E. Holt and  John K. Holt as suspects.

The Holt brothers were apprehended by the Seaford Police Department on March 25 and transported to Troop 5 where they were charged.

Both were arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on their own recognizance.
