Seaford motorist dies from crash injuries

SEAFORD — A 79-year-old Seaford woman died Monday from injuries suffered in a March 6 automobile crash, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.

Sandra E. Johnson was in critical condition when transported via the DSP Aviation Unit to Christiana Hospital. Her 2005 Pontiac Vibe vehicle was struck in the rear as it left a private driveway onto King Road just south of Dove Road at approximately 9:47 a.m. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of impact.

The driver of a 2004 Dodge Neon, a 34-year-old Bridgeville man, was wearing a seat belt and uninjured.

Police said investigation continues and no charges have yet been filed.
