Seaford police investigating apparent assault incident

SEAFORD – City of Seaford police are investigating an apparent assault incident during which a woman was critically injured.

Police officers at 1:36 a.m. Dec. 25 responded to an apartment on Kimbrough Court in the Chandler Heights Apartment Complex and found a person unconscious. The victim, a 30-year-old woman, was initially taken to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Christiana Hospital in critical condition, according to Seaford Police Department spokesman Sr. Cpl. Eric Chambers.
