Seaford: Two charged in illegal drug sale investigation

SEAFORD – City of Seaford police assisted by Dover police Friday arrested two men in the investigation of illegal drug sales.

John King, 37, of New Castle, Delaware, faces six charges and 67-year-old Samuel West of Seaford faces one charge, according to Seaford Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Eric Chambers.

Authorities executed a search warrant at the residence in the 400 block of North Street, Seaford.

Detectives located five grams of crack cocaine, .4 grams of power cocaine, 144.7 grams of marijuana, various items of drug paraphernalia indicative of drug dealing including scales and packaging materials, prescription pills and a large amount of U.S. currency suspected of being proceeds from illegal drug sales, Master Cpl. Chambers.

King was charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (crack), Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (marijuana), Possession of a Controlled Substance (cocaine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana), Possession of a Controlled Substance (crack) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

King was released on $8,000 unsecured bail.

West was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was issued a criminal summons and released.
