Shots fired at home in Hartly

HARTLY — Several shots were fired at a home in Hartly after two men approached a motorist in his car on a driveway just after midnight Monday, Delaware State Police said .

One of the men maced the driver while the other fired a gun at the house, state police said.

Troopers were dispatched to a house in the 2000 block of Slaughter Station Road for a report of shots fired. Troopers spoke to a 54-year-old man from Felton who said he was in his car in the driveway when the two men approached.

Several bullets hit the exterior siding of the house.

Ten people, ranging from 2 months to 67 years of age, were inside at the time. No one was injured.

The suspects, both described as black men, fled the scene on foot.
