Shots fired at two women at Dover intersection

DOVER — No injuries were reported after shots were fired at two women standing in the area of Periwinkle Drive and Caroline Place late Tuesday night, Dover Police said.

The incident took place at approximately 11:17 p.m. when two unknown men approached the intersection on foot and began shooting toward the females, authorities said.

An unoccupied vehicle was struck by gunfire and several shell casings were found on scene, spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

The suspects then fled south on Caroline Place, police said.
