Shots fired without injury in Dover

DOVER — Dover Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the area of Courtside Drive, at approximately 1:48 a.m. on Sunday.

Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said that during that time, several shots were fired following a party in the area. One round entered a residence and struck a bathroom door and another round struck an occupied vehicle. No injuries occurred as a result of this incident.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous.

Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at; a cash reward of up to $1,000 is possible for information leading to an arrest.
