State police seek Seaford man for vehicle theft

SEAFORD — Delaware State Police are seeking Christopher T. Steimling, 51, of Seaford as a suspect in a burglary and vehicle theft that occurred in June.

An initial investigation determined that sometime between 2 p.m., on June 16 and 7:30 a.m. on June 18, forcible entry was made into Ed’s Auto Center, on 26779 Masters Way in Seaford. Once inside the business the suspect gained access to a set of keys to a 2005 Dodge Ram pick-up truck which was parked in the lot and then made off with the vehicle. The vehicle has since been recovered.

Warrants were obtained and are currently on file charging Steimling with burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, theft under $1500, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief under $1000.

Steimling is known to frequent the areas of Seaford and Marydel, Maryland. Anyone with information regarding Steimling’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective A. Jones at Troop 4 by calling 302-752-3795 or by calling 911.
