State Police: Suspect in multiple burglaries arrested

LEWES — A 40-year-old Rehoboth Beach man was arrested following multiple burglaries in the Lewes and Millsboro areas.

Delaware State Police said the alleged crimes occurred during the week of July 9 in the overnight hours when the suspect entered multiple businesses and took cash.

The victims included Lullibi Daycare, Mother Goose Daycare, Simply at Home Dog Kennel, Lotus Blossum Learning Center, Millsboro Daycare, The Rookery, The Ridings at Rehoboth and Waves Car Wash.

Police said David A. Honeycutt was identified as a suspect and taken into custody Tuesday at his girlfriend’s residence in the Ridings at Rehoboth development.

He was transported back to Troop 4 with three counts of third-degree burglary, felony theft, misdemeanor theft, three counts of criminal mischief and two counts of attempt to commit theft being filed, authorities said.
