Suspect seen fleeing after burglary

DOVER — A suspect was seen fleeing from Delaware Auto Body following a burglary early Thursday morning, Dover police spokesman Mark Hoffman said.

The business owner initially received a cell phone alert at approximately 12:32 a.m., authorities said. The owner drove to 1011 Bay Road and saw a person running into the Capital Park neighborhood.

The suspect forced entry into the business through a set of doors and rummaged through items in the business before fleeing.

Police asked anyone with information to call 736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delawarecrimestoppers.com; a cash reward of up to $1,000 is possible for information leading to an arrest.
