Suspect sought in Bridgeville shooting death

BRIDGEVILLE — Delaware State Police are in search of Mcarthur Risper Jr., 28, of Bridgeville after identifying him as a suspect in a Friday night shooting death.

Troopers responded to the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive in Bridgeville at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Friday after a shooting was reported. A 41-year-old male victim with apparent gunshot wounds was found on the side of the road at their arrival, police said.

Later identified as Corey Bailey of Bridgeville, he was transported to a local hospital by emergency responders where he was pronounced dead.

Mr. Risper currently has active warrants for murder, conspiracy and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The incident remains under investigation by the homicide unit for possible further suspects.
