Theft, conspiracy charges for Harrington man


HARRINGTON — A 24-year-old Harrington man was arrested after a reported theft from a vehicle at the Midway Shopping Center in June, authorities said Thursday.

Codi R. Richards was arrested Tuesday, police said, and charged with theft under $1,500 and third-degree conspiracy. According to spokesman Capt Earl K. Brode, investigation found that a purse had been taken from a parked vehicle and Mr. Richards was developed as a suspect.

Police said Mr. Richards was taken into custody without incident while sitting in the Royal Farms parking lot on Milford-Harrington Highway. He was transported to the Harrington Police Department. Mr. Richards was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2 in Rehoboth Beach and released on $2,000 unsecured bond.
