Traffic stop brings firearms charges in Seaford

Donald White Jr.

SEAFORD — A wanted 24-year-old Seaford man was arrested Sunday on firearms charges following a traffic stop on Chandler Street, authorities said.

Donald White Jr. had two active warrants for his arrest out of Sussex Superior Court and he fled from the stop, Seaford Police said. Officers gave chase and took him into custody, police said.

Mr. White was searched, police said, and 31.6 grams of marijuana and $674 were seized. A vehicle search yielded a small amount of marijuana, a digital scale and a loaded firearm, police said.

Charges included possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana. A $384,200 cash bail was set. Mr. White was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Department of Correction, spokesman Sr. Corporal Eric Chambers said.

Mr. White was also committed to the DOC with a $50,000 cash bail for one of the Sussex Superior Court warrants and held without bail on the second Superior Court warrant.
