Investigation began June 13 at approximately 11:14 a.m. when troopers responded to a residence in the 25000 block of Walker Court, Milton for a 911 disconnect, said Cpl. Jaffe.

Troopers were told by the female victim that her ex-boyfriend, Andrew A. Long III entered her residence without her permission.  Long refused to leave, an argument ensued and Long struck his ex-girlfriend while in the presence of their three children, according to state police investigation.

Long left the residence in a vehicle prior to police arrival.

The victim and her three children were not injured.

Troopers took Long into custody a short time later at a residence in the 26000 block of Mount Joy Road without incident.

Long was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $4,100 secured bond, Cpl. Jaffe said.
