Two arrests for illegal drug distribution

DOVER — Two men were pulled over near the Del. 1 Dover Toll Plaza Wednesday and subsequently arrested in alleged connection with the distribution of illegal drugs, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.

Police concluded a drug distribution investigation in the matter of Robert W. Conklin, 39, of Millsboro, authorities said. A search warrant was obtained for his vehicle, a black Cadillac Escalade, which was determined to be Mr. Conklin’s primary vehicle to aid in his drug distribution, police said.

Police alleged that Mr. Conklin and Jonathan W. Bostick, 33, of Bridgeville had conducted drug transactions in the Red Lion, New Castle County area.

A vehicle search located approximately 59.15 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 2,318.41 grams of marijuana, 11 30 mg Oxycodone pills and more than $2,900 in suspected drug proceeds

Several possession charges resulted including intent to deliver a controlled substance, along with second-degree conspiracy.

Mr. Conklin was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown on $162,500 cash only bond.

Mr. Bostick was arraigned before JP Court and committed to SCI on $33,000 secured bond.
