DOVER — Two women were indicted this week on felony second-degree assault and aggravated menacing counts in connection with an alleged incident at a Milford lounge early this year.

Kimberly M. Greene, 43, of Frederica, and Glenda M. Vanderwende, 46, of Hartly, were arrested after the Milford Police investigated the cause of lacerations and a head injury to a 34-year-old woman on Jan. 17.

Police alleged the woman was assaulted with glass beer bottles while trying to smoke a cigarette at the Park Place Restaurant and Lounge at 5 N. Washington St.

The injured woman was treated at a local hospital and released, police said.

A misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge also was brought against the co-defendants.

Deputy Attorney General Lisa Whitelock signed the indictment issued by the Kent County Grand Jury on Monday.
