Vehicular assault charge for Milford man

MILFORD — A 29-year-old Milford man was charged with first-degree vehicular assault and other offenses after a crash with injuries on Aug. 11, police said.

Kyle A. Strickland was operating a motorcycle at 12:12 a.m. on Silicato Parkway when his Harley-Davidson left the roadway and struck a curb, according to Milford Police. He and a passenger were both injured.

Following investigation, police said Mr. Strickland was also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a collision resulting in injury, driving without a valid license, failure to have insurance identification, operation of an unregistered motor vehicle, fictitious registration, failure to transfer title and registration, inattentive driving, two counts of operating a motorcycle without a helmet and/or glasses and no motorcycle license.

Mr. Strickland was presented at Justice of the Peace Court 7 in Dover and released on his own recognizance.
