Water main break in Ocean View

OCEAN VIEW – Ocean View police at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday responded to the intersection of Woodland Avenue and Central Avenue for a broken water main triggered when a large construction vehicle struck a mounted fire hydrant.

The intersection will be closed for an indefinite time while crews from Ocean View Public Works repair the damaged water main, Ocean View Police Department spokesman Russell Colt Carter said.

Water service to residences in the area may be affected while crews repair the damaged water line.
