Wilmington man arrested following Dover robbery

DOVER — An 18-year-old Wilmington man was charged in alleged connection with the armed robbery of two teenagers in Williams Park Thursday afternoon, Dover Police said.

Spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said Saturday Tyshaun Blue was identified as a suspect during investigation and arrest warrants were obtained. On Friday, he was stopped by Wilmington Police and Delaware Probation officers for a routine pedestrian stop.

During the stop, police said, authorities learned Mr. Blue was wanted for the robberies and took him into custody without incident. Blue was later turned over to Dover Police and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $72,500 secured bond.

Charges included two counts of first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and possession of firearm by person prohibited.
