QOTD: What is your family’s hurricane preparedness plan?

Here is the Question of the Day:

Hurricane Laura came ashore in Louisiana just shy of exactly 9 years after Hurricane Irene made landfall in North Carolina as a Category 1 storm on Aug. 27, 2011. According to the National Weather Service, Irene’s eye passed less than 15 miles off the coast of Ocean City, Maryland. There were 41 U.S. deaths from Irene (weather.com), about half due to rainfall flooding. Do you and your family have a hurricane preparedness and evacuation plan? What steps does it include?
