Caesar Rodney School District OKs new assistant principals

CAMDEN — Earlier this month, the Caesar Rodney School Board approved to fill assistant principal vacancies at both W.B. Simpson and Nellie Hughes Stokes elementary schools.

The new assistant principal at W.B. Simpson is Ashley Holmes. Mrs. Holmes is currently assigned as an Achievement Liaison Teacher at Star Hill Elementary in Dover.

She began working her new assignment as assistant principal on Monday. Mrs. Holmes has been in education for the past 10 years. The past five years have been with the Caesar Rodney School District, all at Star Hill. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Park Administration and a Master in Education from Indiana University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from American College of Education in Indiana.

With 15 years of educational experience, including 13 at Caesar Rodney, Kerri Carr is currently an Instructional Resource Teacher. Mrs. Carr will now serve as assistant principal at Nellie Hughes Stoke Elementary School in Dover.

She will also began her new position on Monday. Mrs. Carr received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (K-8), a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, all from Wesley College in Dover.
