Delaware State University to host agriculture, life sciences event for middle school students

DOVER — Delaware middle through high school students are invited to attend a recruitment event, Saturday, Oct. 13, hosted by the College of Agriculture, Science and Technology (CAST) at Delaware State University.

The event, “Exploring Agriculture and Life Sciences: Introducing New Careers,” will be held in DSU Memorial Hall from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will include access to faculty and industry professionals in agriculture, natural resources and life science fields.

Current DSU students and alumni will also be available, and tours are planned of CAST farms and research facilities.

Prospective students will be able to engage with alumni, employed in their respective fields, during a panel discussion, and with current DSU Hornets who will serve as facility tour guides during the event.
