Selbyville Middle School seventh-grader selected for National Geography Bee

SELBYVILLE – Ian Lewis of Selbyville Middle School has been selected to attend the National Geographic Geography Bee in Washington D.C. on May 20-23.

Ian, a seventh-grader, won the Selbyville Middle School Geography Bee in February. Winning his school competition enabled Ian to compete with 87 other school winners throughout Delaware.

The Delaware State National Geography BEE Competition was held in March at Sussex Central High School. There, Ian finished in second place and although this did not qualify him for National Geography Bee, the first-place winner was unable to attend. Therefore, Ian will proudly be representing himself, Selbyville Middle School and the state of Delaware in Washington D.C.
