Sussex Tech students going to national DECA contest

GEORGETOWN — Sussex Technical High School students recently won top honors at the statewide conference of DECA, a career-technical student organization which prepares students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
• Nathan Willey, a senior from Laurel, placed first in apparel and accessories marketing.
• Shannon O’Hara, a senior from Milford, and Kyle Morris, a senior from Millsboro, placed first in hospitality services team decision-making.
• Carly Callahan, a senior from Seaford, and Rachel Pappa, a senior from Lewes, placed second in travel and tourism team decision-making.
First-place winners Willey, O’Hara and Morris will represent Delaware at DECA’s International Career Development Conference in Nashville, April 29-May 2.
