Boys’ basketball semifinals are sold out

NEWARK – Tonight’s semifinals of the DIAA boys’ basketball state tournament have been declared a sellout.

Second-seeded Dover High faces No. 3 Caravel at 6:30 p.m. with top-seeded Sanford taking on No. 5 St. Georges in the second game of the semis, which are being played at the 5,000-seat Carpenter Center in Newark.

The games are being broadcast by radio station WDEL (1150-AM/101.7-FM) and, for a subscription fee, at NFHSnetwork.com.

The championship game is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Carpenter Center.

Dover is trying to reach the state finals for only the fifth time in its history and for the first time since 2010.
