C-W earns 8-9-10-year old state baseball crown

Camden-Wyoming captured the 8-9-10-years old state baseball championship on Saturday night.

Camden-Wyoming defeated Lower Sussex 9-4 at Canal Little League to finish the tournament unbeaten.

Camden-Wyoming advances to the East Regional which is hosted in Cranston, Rhode Island next week.

American Legion

Post-10 Generals 6, Fox Post-2 3: The Dover-area squad suffered its second loss of the state tournament and was eliminated.

The game started on Friday but was halted due to rain. The two teams played the final two innings on Saturday.

Kyle Comegys led Fox Post-2 with a two-RBI double. Andrew Carney also drove in a run for Fox Post-2.

Dom Velazquez struck out nine in four and two third innings. Alec Rodriguez, Mike Carrington and Comegys each scored a run.

Kevin Buglio led the Post-10 Generals with a home run and four RBI. Zach Lesher scored twice.

Post-10 will face Canal Post-25 Middletown at 1 p.m. today with the winner playing Delaware Post-1 at 4 p.m. for the championship.
