Cape’s Gelof tops All-State baseball team

Cape Henlopen High senior Zack Gelof was named the state Player of the Year as four Henlopen Conference players were named first-team All-State in baseball by the Delaware Interscholastic Baseball Coaches Association.

Three of the downstate first-team All-Staters were from conference champion Cape, including pitcher David Erickson, outfielder Austin Elliott and Gelof, who made first team at shortstop. Gelof was also named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state.
