Delaware Fire Football Club tryout Aug. 24

The Delaware Fire Football Club is holding its first tryout for the 2020 season on Aug. 24 at the Camden-Wyoming Little League Complex from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Workouts will be followed by a team cookout. The Delaware Fire offers full contact, tackle football for players who have used up their high school or college eligibility and still want to play the sport.

The team is 15 years old and was founded by Keith Kendzierski. Michael Baer serves as the team’s general manager. The Fire’s 2020 season will begin in early March.

Richard Booker

The Fire’s coach is former Caesar Rodney High standout Richard Booker, who played in the North East Atlantic Football League. His teams have won eight championships in his 17 playing seasons.

The Fire invites players of all positions, but especially offensive and defensive linemen, to try out. For more information contact
