Dover opens Junior League regional with victory


FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Dover used a seven-run second inning to post a 7-4 victory over Rhode Island in the first game of the Junior League baseball Eastern Regional on Friday afternoon.

Dover, the Delaware state champions, will face West Salisbury, Md., on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the double-elimination tournament.
